Who Writes Our Guides
Guides are written and edited by Trevor B. Barber, founder of MyToyGun. Each guide shows the author and the date it was published or last meaningfully updated.
Research & Sources
- Manufacturer specifications, manuals and age grading
- Safety warnings and packaging information
- Guidance from product-safety regulators and standards bodies
- Reputable retailer listings for availability and features
We only describe a product as tested or used hands-on when we have actually done so, and we say clearly when information comes from the manufacturer.
Safety Standards
- Every recommendation considers the manufacturer’s age label.
- Blaster guides include eye protection and responsible-play advice.
- We do not publish instructions for modifying toys to increase power.
- We encourage clearly toy-like designs and responsible play in public.
Independence
Brands and retailers cannot pay to be included or ranked in our editorial content. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled. Affiliate commissions never decide what we recommend.
